- Edith Elizabeth was born in 1873. She was baptised on 7 March 1877 in St John the Baptist Church, Wateringbury at the same time as her younger brother Stephen.
In 1881 Edith was living with her Aunt Eliza Roberts, 55 and Uncle Richard Roberts, 52 a Farm Labourer at Spotlands Cottage Willesborough.
In 1891 Edith was a Genaral Servant [Domestic] in the household of Valentine Hobday, 36 a Licenced Victualler of the Wheel Inn, his wife Jane, 34 and their two children Walter, 7 and Clare, 3 and their niece Ada Boarman, 7. Also at the address was Cellarman Thomas Hoar, 50.
On 4 August 1900 Edith married Frank Luckhurst at St Mary's Church, Westwell. Frank was 35, a bachelor and a labourer of Westwell. His father was Charles Luckhurst a Labourer. Edith was 28 a spinster of Westwell. Her father was John Vant, a Labourer. They were married after Banns.
In 1901 Frank and Edith were living at the Common, Westwell. Also at the address were Frank's mother widowed Lydia Luckhurst, 76, Frank's Sister Fanny Luckhurst, 29 and son Frederick Luckhurst, 9.
A Frederick John Luckhurst had been born in Bridge RD.
On 4 February 1908 Frank and Ediths's son Frederick was baptised at Hothfield [no age given]
Inm 1911 Edith and Frank were living at Frog Hall Common, Westwell. Also at the address were Frank's sister Fanny 42, Frederick, 19 who seemed to be Fanny's son in the previous Census and Franks son in this one, a General Labourer and Daughter Louisa 3. The record states that there had been 2 children born to the marriage both who were living.
