- Jemima was born in 1791/2 and baptised on 1 April 1792 at Upchurch in Kent. Her parents were Tomasine d 5 Aug 1844 [Miles, spinster - father Luke Miles, Farmer d 1781] and Robert Sunnock d 3 May 1826 [Mariner, 25 , a batchelor] who married 18 April 1786.
In 1801 Jemima married William Vant, at Upchurch. William, 24 was a bachelor, a Dredgerman of Lower Halstow, Jemima, 17 was a spinster of Upchurch, Jemima's father was Robert Sunnock. Married by Licence.
In 1841 William, Jemima and children, James, Sarah and George were living at Church Path, Lower Halstow, Kent.
William died in 1847.
In 1851 a widowed Jemima was living at Haliston [Horsham?] Lane, Lower Halstow with Widower son, William, 40, grandson James Miles Vant, 4, Daughter in Law Julia Ann Vant, 22, Grandaughter Mary Ann Vant, 7, grandsons William John Vant, 9 & John William Vant, 2, and Visitor Sarah Ann Warn, 19.
Jemima died in 1853 At Lower Halstow, Kent.
