      • Henry was born in 1818 in Marylebone, London.

        Henry married Sarah Vant in 1843 in Lewisham.

        In 1851 Henry & Sarah were living at 25 Church Street, Dulwich. Also at the address were Kate Vant, 9, Sarah's sister, visitor Elizabeth Bingel, 45, apprentices Louisa C Thompson, 19, and Mary Ann Rofe, 24. The family had a live-in servant, Sarah Calloodery, 33.

        In 1861 Sarah, Henry and their son Harry, 2yrs were living at Clifton House, Richmond Road, Hackney. They had two live-in Servants, Harriet Rodwell, 34 and Ann Whitebread, 25.

        In 1871 the small family were living at 149 Richmond Road, Hackney. Eliza Phillips was a vistor to the address on Census night. The family had a Cook, Margaret Morris, 27 and a Housemaid, Emma Hardy, 26.

        In 1881 Henry had retired and the family had moved to 155 Richmond Road, Hackney. Harry , 22, was a Surveyor. The family had two live-in Servants, Ann Phillips, 58, Housekeeper and Esther Giggins, 26 General Domestic Servant.

        Sarah died in 1889.

        In 1891 Henry was living in Stoke, Warwickshire. He was living on his own means with a Cook, Esther M Liggins, 34 and Housemaid Ellen Sephton, 18.

        Henry died on 30 March 1899 in Foleshill, Warwickshire.
