      • James was born in 1849 in Stepney.

        James Harris was born in 1849 in Poplar. His parents were James Wyatt [a Shipwright] & Hannah Maria Davis.

        In 1851 James was living with his parents and sister Mary Ann, 9 at 3 John Street, Northside, Limehouse. Also at the address were lodgers William Lewis, 29 & William Rostin, 27 both Shipwright Journeymen and lodger Alexander Beaver, 66 a Mast & Blockmaker.

        In 1861 James was living with his parents at 15 John Street, Limehouse.

        On 21 June 1877 James married Helena Agnes Vant at St John of Jerusalem Church in Hackney. James was a Carpenter living at Sussex Street. Helena was living at 41 Shafron Road. Jame's father was James Wyatt Davis, a Shipwright and Helena's father, Christopher Vant was a Tailor. The Witnesses were Christopher Vant and Susannah Vant.

        James died on 5 February 1885 in Whitechapel Union Infirmary, Stepney. [Record states he died from Phithisis]
